J. Rivera – President & CEO

John Rivera is a Financial Services professional with 15+ years of experience in client services, administration, operations, people management, training & development, sales, and strategic planning. John has held various management positions in the Financial Services industry, including his current role as Director of Retail Banking for Actors Federal Credit Union in midtown Manhattan, where he oversees offices in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

John previously served as Vice President, District Manager for Greater Hudson Bank where he oversaw the Private Banking Commercial Client Group throughout Westchester County. During his time at Greater Hudson Bank, John served as a member of the bank’s Asset & Liability committee (ALCO) where he influenced decisions on pricing, product, lending, marketing, & strategy. John also chaired the Culture & Leadership Committee that revamped the organizations’ core values, vision & mission.

Prior to this role John served as Vice President, Market Manager for People’s United Bank where he managed multi-million dollar business markets in Nassau County, Long Island and Westchester. While at People’s, John served as Adjunct Instructor for the Learning & Development Department where he trained employees throughout the Northeast region of the United States. John obtained his securities licenses (6&63) and New York State Insurance license which allowed him to work as a Licensed Investment Advisor & Insurance Producer – as a dual employee of both People’s United Bank and People’s Securities, Inc.

In 2019 John launched Évoluer Consulting Group with the purpose of providing Leadership & Strategy Consulting services to small businesses, faith-based organizations and not-for-profits. John earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration & Management from Berkeley College (White Plains, NY), and a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management from Manhattanville College (Purchase, NY). John is also a graduate of the Leadership Westchester Program; a nine-month leadership certification program provided by Volunteer New York!.

John is an active member of the business community through the Business Council of Westchester, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and Westchester County Association. John has been involved in a number of nonprofit & volunteer organizations including Mission United International Church where he served as Board Member & Administrator from 2013 to 2020. John Rivera has been honored by his Alma Mata (Berkeley College) as one of their Success Stories for their 85th Anniversary, has received awards for excellence in sales & service, and has served as guest speaker to several schools and colleges throughout Westchester. John is a life-long New Yorker – born in the Bronx, raised in Yonkers, and currently residing in Hartsdale. John is passionate about using his expertise and network to coach, develop and inspire individuals to identify and reach their full leadership potential.
